Unfailing Love

Chosen Generation~

Do you ever just look outside, and are awed by the splendor of God's Kingdom?
When I go out for a run, and I look at the hills and the mountains, and the sky, it amazes me that a God who could make that cares for me.
So often I am confused by life, and the meaning of it.
And while I know that I'm not the smartest human around, and that I won't ever really understand God's entire purpose in the creation of SarahLydia, I do know why I'm here.
Does that shock you?

It shouldn't.

Teenagers today are fully expected to not understand the purpose of life. So when one does, it freaks adults out. Or secular ones at least.
The world has its own list of expectations for the American adolescent, and none of them are God's expectations.
I can't begin to count how many times I have been asked why I don't have a license (I'm 16 for the Love of God - I would rather wait to die for a little while longer), why I don't have a boyfriend, why I'm not allowed to go to Prom or Homecoming, why I - you get the idea.
But I never get asked why I love God, why I have a dream of a future unlike any other, why I want to go to church on Sunday instead of get drunk.
While adults seem so confused as to why kids go down a wrong path, and why they aren't like those homeschooled kids (not that they would say that...:P), they never think of asking those homeschooled, or those Christian kids why they haven't fallen to prey to what the other 99.9% of teenagers do.

Because I have a God who loves me, I have a purpose for my life.
Because I have a purpose for my life, I have a reason to care.
Because I have a reason to care, I have shocked those adults into questioning why.

Once upon a time I said that "why" is a three letter word which wonders the answers, a syllable which cannot be explained.
And while that may be true of the word itself, that does not mean there is no answer to the question.

I know why I'm here on planet earth.

It's simple, so why does everyone act like it's so hard to figure out?

Jesus is laughing His head off at us humans trying to figure out stuff "scientifically", "theoretically", "hypothetically", when it's all in a simple little Book.

I AM HERE FOR A PURPOSE.

I AM HERE TO SERVE HIM, AND HELP ACCOMPLISH THE PLAN OF ANCIENT AGES.
THAT PLAN IS TO LEAD MEN AND WOMEN UNTO HIM.
THAT PLAN IS WHAT LED TO THE CREATION OF THEM.

SO - WHY DO WE PRETEND WE DON'T KNOW?

As it says in Romans, that when mankind is confronted with the truth about themselves, they suppress it in unrighteousness.

We shut our ears as we try to believe that there is no God, that there is no Creator, that there is no Lover of the soul.

And we look outside at the Rocky Mountains and say "that happened, by accident."

There is no accident in this world, and there never has been - are you an accident?
Are you a mistake?
How can one believe that that perfect little baby with fingernails, and toes, and teeth - was an accident?

It's stuff like that that gives us a bad name, fellow teens.

But, remember, just remember, and bask in His unfailing love. That sentence alone speaks so many volumes.

Ok, rambles are over. I've talked enough.

Now think.

I thought that that was an amazing album cover.
